Back to school, back to school.
It was interesting being in two introductory classes today (political science and economics, respectively.) You can tell people are freshmen when they excitedly introduce themselves to you, like "Hi! My name is -----!" And when you ask, "Are you freshmen?" and they say, "Yeah!" and you say, "I'm a sophomore/junior/senior", they go, "...oh..." I know this standard procedure well, because it's something I did on my first day of biology class last year, when I tried to introduce myself to the junior girl next to me.
But eating in Hill with a friend, living in the Quad, walking down Locust Walk - all of those things that are so characteristic of last year and yet also characteristic of this year - they're all different now that I'm a year older, stronger, wiser?
And yet...I feel like I'm still back in the same spot that I was last year in a handful of ways.
When can I stop waiting for things to work out?
