203 days of summer

So, I think my favorite chick flick has become "500 Days of Summer," even though at first, I was kind of adverse to the ending. But now I think it's just a really well-made, cute movie with an amazing soundtrack.

I was looking up "Memorable Quotes" from its IMDB site, and I was surprised to find that my own most memorable (though not favorite) quote wasn't there.

Basically, it's when Tom and Summer are arguing:

Summer probably says something like,

"We're just...friends."

And then Tom says something like,

"Friends? Don't give me that. This isn't how you treat your friend. [Listing memories together like running around in Ikea and kissing in the copy room], friends don't do that."

And then Summer says something like,

"I like you, Tom. I just don't want a relationship."

And then Tom says something like,

"Well you're not the only one who has a say in this! I do too!"

I mean, how typical is this?

Except the gender roles are reversed. (Non-committal guy, whiny girl -> non-committal girl, whiny guy)

That's why this movie is money.

But I like this scene too :)

Especially the part with "TWIST AND SHOUT" - so clever.
