There's an old saying that has become extremely familiar to me (roughly translated from Korean):
A person who is naturally smart will never win over a person who works hard.
A person who works hard will never win over a person who loves what he/she does.
I don't know why I have always been the person who works hard and not the person who loves what she does, but I have often asked the One who made me as I am.
