one full year of btas

Wow, I just realized what a NOOB I am! I totally forgot that the one year anniversary of my blog already passed on the 8th of October...sadness. But since then, this blog has treated me so well :) It's been really nice to just jot down random thoughts and also to be so encouraged by the people who have actually read and commented on it. So to the 24 followers and whoever else is anonymously following along as well, thank you!

I think it's really interesting how the focus of my blog has changed so much since I first started it - I think I came up with the name wanting to note all the random things in life and sharing my thoughts, particularly about the awkward things people do or say. And it also started off with a lot of readers from my high school - people who enjoyed my very stream-of-consciousness-type Facebook notes and semi-rants on how odd some people were or whatever.

But now, I feel like I definitely talk about the Christian life and walking with God like in practically every blog entry these days...which is not bad at all, but it's just crazy because I never would have expected it to come so far in that direction.

God is so good, and after sharing testimonies at the Overflow retreat/hangout a few hours ago, I was really struck with how uniquely God works in each and every one of our life stories. And when we revisit, it's so clear to see how God was shaping us during that time, even though when we went through it, we had no idea why things were heading in the direction that they were.

In the same way, reading through old entries and re-living what I was feeling at the moment I was writing them is really interesting, and I can just see how much further along God's path I've come. And all I can say is just that God is awesome. And I can't wait to see how much things will change in this upcoming year of blogging as well.

Here's to another year of breaking your silences! (Especially when y'all are studying and have nothing better to do to waste your time :P)
