When I was like eleven years old, I was a crazy tomboy. I played basketball in the freezing cold with the boys, I reveled in playing Super Smash Brothers (albeit with Kirby, ha), and I got an award in P.E. for having good push-up form. Crazy, I know.
Now at this age, I can't tell which side of me is more dominant. I just got back from playing Halo (even though I suck at it and I only got like 10 kills at most within 1.5 hours), but I was dressed up in a carefully-crafted-to-look-not-so-carefully-crafted outfit, red clutch and all. I'm more comfortable with guys as friends, but my best friends throughout high school have been girls. I'm just as emotionally resilient as the next guy, but I still get easily hurt sometimes. I get super psyched for competitive games, but I can't keep up with or play sports in the least.
And though I think I guess in the end, I'm more girly than tomboy, I like being friends with guys better (minus the aforementioned girl yesterday.) But hopefully, that preference won't get me called any bad names or etc. So, for those that read this, I hope y'all have got my back!
With that said, I am obsessed with the song "If I Were A Boy." Props to Beyonce for actually getting me to listen to a mainstream song for once.
